A Black Triangle Hovered Over Stratford for More Than 30 Minutes, Map Shows
The Manchester Evening News has published an interactive map of reports from the area between 2021 and 2026, drawn from an archive that does not verify sightings.

A new Manchester Evening News map lets users search for UFO reports from the area dating back to 2021. Some describe dark triangles, including one that reportedly hovered over Stratford in July. The reports have not been verified.
In July, a large black triangle with a red light at each corner was reportedly seen over Stratford, in Greater Manchester. According to the report listed on the map, it remained airborne for more than 30 minutes. That is one of dozens of reports on an interactive map published by the Manchester Evening News. Users can search for sightings across the area from 2021 to 2026, including reports from Levenshulme, Moston and Salford.
What the Map Records
The map draws on the archive of the UFO Identified research group, which has logged nearly 2,000 sightings of unidentified phenomena across the UK over the past five years. Most reports describe balls or spots of light that resemble stars. But 164 describe wedge-shaped objects, roughly one in every 12 sightings.
The reports describe dark, nonreflective triangular objects that move silently at low altitude over residential areas, fields and coastlines before vanishing quickly. The database records these accounts but does not verify them.
An Archive to Search for Patterns
Ash Ellis, a co-founder of UFO Identified, said: “There are thousands of people across the UK who have seen something they couldn’t easily explain, but these reports are hard to find once public interest fades.”
“We wanted to create a reliable, easy-to-use public archive that would keep the reports available and let people search them for patterns themselves.”
