Tic-Tac-Shaped Object Spotted Over Mount Snowdon
Dozens of reports from Wales appear in a public database, including one of a pulsing orb over Tonteg. The accounts have not been verified.
A public database maintained by the UFO Identified research group has collected nearly 2,000 UFO sightings from across the UK, including dozens from Wales. Among them is a Tic Tac-shaped object spotted over Mount Snowdon. About 164 reports describe triangular objects, similar to accounts from the United States. These are unverified witness reports.
WalesOnline has published an interactive map of UFO sightings reported in Wales between 2021 and 2026. Enter a postcode to see what has been reported in your area.
The map draws on a database created by the UFO Identified research group. The group says it has collected nearly 2,000 sightings from across the UK over the past five years, and that the database is open to the public. Ash Ellis, the group's founder, said its aim is to keep the accounts accessible so people can search for patterns themselves. The reports are unverified witness accounts.
Reports From Wales
Dozens of sightings have been recorded in Wales. Two stand out: an elongated, Tic Tac-shaped object seen over Mount Snowdon and a flashing orb over Tonteg.
Most UK sightings describe orbs and lights. But researchers counted 164 cases involving wedge- or triangle-shaped objects, about one in 12 reports. Witnesses said they saw dark, triangular objects moving silently at low altitude over neighborhoods and fields before disappearing.
Reports of Triangular Objects in the United States, Too
Similar descriptions also appear in documents the Pentagon recently released following an order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump. One account describes an incident in June 2026: two federal agents at a site sensitive to national security saw a matte-black triangular object. According to the account, it hovered about 90 meters in the air for 20 seconds, then dived into a canyon without an exhaust trail.
The documents and reports contain similar descriptions, but do not indicate any connection between them or explain the sightings.
