Accessibility statement
We want everyone who is curious about the unexplained to be able to read, watch and take part in Aliens, including people with disabilities. We work to align the site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and with Israeli Standard IS 5568, the national web accessibility standard (based on WCAG 2.0 level AA) required under Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities regulations. We keep improving it.
What the site offers
- An accessibility menu on every page (the yellow button in the corner): larger or smaller text, high contrast, grayscale, highlighted links, a readable font, line spacing, paused animations and a large cursor. Your settings are saved in your browser.
- The site adapts to phones, tablets, desktops and large screens, and text grows on wide displays.
- You can navigate with the keyboard; buttons and links carry labels for screen readers.
- Videos in the sightings feed come with captions.
- The site respects your system's reduced-motion setting.
What isn't perfect yet
Some official documents are scans of old paper records, and some videos come from outside platforms (such as YouTube), so they may not be fully accessible. For every document like that, we publish an article that explains what it says. The site was written in Hebrew first; English pages are translations, and a few items may only be available in Hebrew for now.
