Australia is a country and continent where sightings of unidentified lights and objects have been reported over the years. Such reports generate interest, but an eyewitness account is not, in itself, proof of an extraterrestrial origin; sometimes, additional details are needed to identify what was seen in the sky.
On this page, you'll find sighting reports from various locations in Australia, interviews, and articles about events such as the 1966 school sighting in Melbourne, as well as a publication about a 1971 Australian document. Some of the content presents claims or testimonies, not a verified determination regarding the objects' origin.
