Rendlesham Forest UFO case, 1980: the Halt memo

The film revisits the Rendlesham Forest incident in Suffolk, England, on Christmas night in 1980. It recounts how two US airmen entered the forest after lights appeared to descend beyond the treeline, near a NATO base associated with nuclear weapons. The documentary focuses on the reported encounter and the questions that remain about what happened.

At the center is the Halt memo, a document written by the base commander, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt. The film presents the memo and the claim that commanders recorded the encounter while leaving details out, framing this as a cover-up. The incident has never received a full official explanation; claims of concealment do not, by themselves, establish what the airmen saw or what caused the lights.
