Bright Object Passes Near Space Station in NASA Broadcast
The claim that the object was a UFO and threatened the station rests on weak footage and Scott C. Waring’s calculations alone.

UFO researcher Scott C. Waring says an object seen during a NASA broadcast on October 15 nearly struck the International Space Station. NASA and SpaceX have not commented on the claim, which rests on weak footage and Waring’s calculations alone.
A bright object resembling a disk or small sphere appeared in NASA’s live broadcast of SpaceX’s cargo resupply launch on October 15, passing near the International Space Station. Cameras aboard the Dragon spacecraft captured it twice as the capsule approached the station.
Scott C. Waring, who runs UFO Sightings Daily, a site that publishes UFO footage, says the object was a UFO. Using the station’s size as a reference, he estimated that the object was about 7 meters wide and passed roughly 25 meters from the station. He says a collision could have destroyed it.
Waring made the claim in a YouTube video. He said the object moved in a way that defied the laws of physics, adding that its appearance was not impressive enough, in his view, to qualify as a genuine UFO.
NASA, SpaceX, and the astronauts have not reported any such object near the station. The station has been struck several times by debris and tiny meteoroids, but no impact by an object the size Waring describes is known.
