An in-depth interview with former F-18 pilot Ryan Graves, who discusses his experiences as a pilot and his involvement in investigating the UFO phenomenon.
Former U.S. Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves recounts how he and other pilots began detecting unidentified objects in Navy training airspace off the East Coast after a radar upgrade. He says multiple sensors detected objects, some of which appeared to hover or move in ways pilots could not explain. He also describes a pilot’s report of a near collision with a dark cube inside a clear sphere. The object passed between two Navy jets and came within about 50 feet of the lead aircraft’s cockpit.
Graves says the evidence does not establish that the objects were extraterrestrial. He discusses unreported near misses, pilots changing training missions to avoid the objects, and his decision to speak publicly after concluding the issue had not been resolved. He later founded Americans for Safe Aerospace to help build credible reporting systems for people encountering anomalous phenomena.
