Project Blue Book was an official US Air Force program for investigating UFOs. It operated from March 1952 until it closed on December 17, 1969. Its headquarters were at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
The Air Force documented 12,618 reports, 701 of which remained officially designated as “unidentified.” The Air Force concluded that the cases it investigated posed no threat to national security and that it had found no evidence of technology beyond the limits of modern scientific knowledge or of extraterrestrial vehicles.
Here you’ll find articles and a video about the program, subsequent UFO investigations, and related documents. The project files are now held by the National Archives as retired, declassified Air Force records.
