Sergeants V. R. Carter and B. A. Harvey observed seven aluminum-colored objects flying north or northwest at an altitude of 20,000 feet. The formation shifted from a V-shape to a U, then an O, and finally an irregular shape. After passing over them, a pulsating light was seen.

The crew of an RB-47 aircraft reported red lights and a bluish-white light, which were tracked visually, by the aircraft's radar, and by ground radar. The object simultaneously vanished from all three detection systems, then reappeared.
