The story
The cousins who look like us
Chapter 1
The cousins who look like us
The Yahyel are a hybrid race, a people born from mixing humans and Greys. They're the fifth one, and they look so much like us they won't scare anyone.
Phoenix, 1997
The giant triangle over Phoenix
In 1997 a huge triangle of lights crossed the sky over Phoenix, Arizona. It was a Yahyel ship. They showed it on purpose, to see how ready we were.
“Spoiler: we weren't.”
Chapter 3
"The first ones"
The Essassani call them Shalanaia, "the first ones". The two peoples are cousins from the same family. But in their genes, the Yahyel are closer to us.
Chapter 4
Hitching a ride home
The hybrid children live mostly on ships for now. When they come back to Earth, they'll ride with the Yahyel. They're not Yahyel, just catching a lift.
Coming up
A window, not a date
The forecast says the Yahyel will visit openly sometime in 2025–2033. Then another people, then the Essassani. It's a maybe, not a promise.

“We let you see our ships here and there, to see how you react. Are you ready to meet us? Not quite yet.”
