Chapter 1
A family tree with five branches
The Greys needed new life, so they mixed their genes with ours. Out came five hybrid races, brand-new peoples that range from very Grey to almost human.
Chapter 2
Number 3 is right in the middle
The Essassani are number 3, about halfway between Greys and humans in looks. Number 5, the Yahyel, look the most like us. The other three haven't been named.
Chapter 3
Kids who live on light
Hybrid children feel what you feel and talk mind to mind. Many don't eat. At dinner, they might just sit there soaking up energy from the lamp.
Chapter 4
A soft landing
The children who come to Earth will first live in safe, quiet spots, like the American Southwest. Once we're used to them, they'll head out into the world.
The road ahead
Earth becomes number six
By about 2050, several hybrids will already live among us. Then, over about 1,000 years, the two peoples blend into one: the sixth hybrid race.

Far future
Seven crystals, one future
Then all six blend into a seventh, a whole new kind of being. On Essassani, seven crystals with six sides each stand for the seven races.
