Stories: news stories and features published on the site during the month, by publishing time in Israel.
Topics: a story or sighting counts toward a topic when one of its tags is the topic's name, or the name appears in its title.
Government files: records from war.gov/ufo (documents, photos, videos and audio) by the release date the government site gives, not counting the release notices.
Sightings: videos and photos from Reddit and from readers that went up on the sightings feed during the month. We read the country from the post; a sighting that doesn't say where it was filmed counts as "place unknown". Each sighting has exactly one credibility label.
Channel 51: videos added to the channel during the month that are still on it.
Explainers: ranked by page views, without the numbers themselves, and shown only when there are enough views for the ranking to mean something.
Anything we have no reliable data for is simply left out of the report.
