Jay Stratton, a former Pentagon team lead who investigated UFOs, claimed in a recent interview that he saw non-human beings and non-human-made aircraft. He also alleges that defense companies and the government possess such craft. The story is particularly interesting because a scientist asked him to present evidence — but received no answer.
Stratton retired from his position in 2022. In a new memoir and interviews, he recounts what he claims to have seen. This was reported by media outlets covering the book and the response from Avi Loeb, a scientist at Harvard University.
He Claims He Saw Them Himself
Stratton headed a Pentagon team that investigated unidentified anomalous phenomena: things observed but not identified. According to him, he personally saw non-human beings and aircraft. These are personal claims, and no evidence that others can verify has been presented to the public.
In his book, he also claims that defense companies possess at least a dozen crashed aircraft in secure locations across the United States. He also describes secret recovery operations where teams collected craft and bodies. For these claims, too, no independently verifiable evidence has been presented.
Loeb Asked to See Evidence
Loeb, a scientist who researches unidentified anomalous phenomena, invited Stratton to present his claims to a scientific council. Even after a council member reiterated the invitation, Stratton did not respond. It was not disclosed why he did not answer.
Loeb states that a personal story is not enough to confirm a claim. His team reviewed military information on sightings and found no proof of non-human technology. According to him, many of the sightings reviewed could be explained by ordinary things, such as drones and weather balloons.
What Is Still Unknown
It is unknown whether Stratton actually saw non-human beings or aircraft, or whether the government and companies possess such craft. It is also unknown why he did not respond to the invitation. Loeb says that the information reviewed so far has not proven the existence of non-human technology.
Stratton says he saw. Loeb asked to see what could be verified.
