The Aguadilla UFO video is thermal footage recorded in 2013. U.S. authorities identified the objects as two lightweight objects carried by the wind.
In March 2024, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) issued an official assessment concluding that the video shows two separate objects moving together in a straight line at roughly wind speed. The objects did not enter the water or display unusual speed or flight characteristics, according to the assessment. AARO said they were sky lanterns or similar lightweight objects. Some UFO researchers continue to dispute that conclusion.
It was recorded on the night of April 25–26, 2013, near the airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
It shows a hot target in thermal imagery moving over land toward the sea. The footage appears to show it entering the water and splitting apart.
In an assessment published in 2024, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office concluded that the video shows two lightweight objects moving with the wind, not objects entering the water.
U.S. authorities have proposed that the objects were carried by the wind, but some UFO researchers dispute the assessment and continue to regard the case as unexplained.
