A Pacific Gas and Electric employee named Danio witnessed two objects falling from an unknown source. One appeared to be burning, leaving a trail of red and black smoke. The objects were never recovered.

A.C. Morrison, an engineer with Duke Power Company, observed a round, metallic-looking object moving eastward at an estimated speed of about 965 km/h (600 mph). It disappeared behind a cloud after approximately ten seconds; no sound was heard, and no exhaust trail was visible.
