Lieutenant Commander Marcus Lowe observed a yellow or bright sphere, 25–30 feet in diameter, at an altitude of approximately 1,500 feet. He did not pursue it because it entered the restricted no-fly zone over the Capitol and the White House.

Thirteen-year-old Charlie Cozens claimed he touched the antenna of a glowing flying craft near the Hamilton police station. According to Cozens, an electrical flash threw him over a fence as the craft ascended.
