A Burning Light Over Stanton: Video Captures a UAP

What Happened At 1:43 a.m. local time (PDT) on June 10, 2026, a Stanton, California, resident witnessed a rare display of burning light in the southwestern sky. The observer recorded it with an HD security camera, capturing a bright, steady light moving in a straight line, with what was described as a “burning” trail. The light moved east toward the southwest, at an angle of about 29 degrees above the horizon and at an apparently slow speed.

What Was Seen? The video shows a luminous object with no flashing lights or navigation signals associated with a commercial aircraft. Its light trail remained steady throughout the 75-second recording, and the light continued to shine uniformly, as if it were burning. According to the observer, the object was too far from the camera to determine its size. The focus was on the persistent light rather than the object’s physical shape.

Checking Possible Explanations The investigator checked the ADS-B Exchange and FlightAware databases to see whether any commercial flights were in the area at the time. No flights with active transponders were found nearby, and the time (midnight) is outside the usual operating hours for regional aviation. The light trail also does not appear to be a contrail, since there was no sunlight at the time.

Why Is This Interesting? The report describes something reminiscent of a “meteor”: a burning light with a trail. But the video shows steady, non-descending movement, making a simple explanation such as a falling piece of space debris harder to accept. The light also lasted for more than a second and remained steady, raising questions about rare atmospheric processes or unidentified technological events.

The Takeaway The report is visual evidence of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon (UAP) that could not be immediately explained. Without precise speed data or additional witnesses, the sighting remains open to interpretation, leaving viewers with a sense that something has strayed from the ordinary.
