Yellow Orbs Over Sarajevo: Two Luminous Objects Spotted at Night

What Happened At 1:10 a.m. on July 6, 2026, an observer looking through an open window spotted two illuminated objects moving quickly across the sky over Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The observer described the orbs as yellow-white and about the size of a star. They traveled together on nearly parallel paths, with one overtaking the other at higher speed, creating the impression that they were “falling” or “rolling.” The objects appeared high in the sky, at an elevation angle of about 72°, and moved northeast, east, or north, according to the observer. They passed behind a tree, blocking the view, and the observer did not continue watching.

Context and Possible Explanations The report was logged with NUFORC and classified as an unverified eyewitness account. The observer’s initial explanation was that the objects were a meteor or shooting star, but the observer noted that there were no signs of burning or any sound, making that identification difficult. Another possibility mentioned was that the objects were satellites or aircraft, such as drones or experimental aircraft, though no further information was available about their precise movements.

Why Is This Sighting Interesting? What makes the sighting unusual is the combination of two luminous objects that appeared close together, their rapid movement, and the absence of any sign of heat or sound. Such phenomena are rare in urban areas like Sarajevo, making the report a potential subject for further research into aerial phenomena, unidentified aircraft activity, or rare atmospheric events.

Summary There is still no scientific evidence establishing the source of the sighting, so it remains among reports of unexplained phenomena. It does, however, highlight the importance of precise documentation, including the time, direction, angle, and estimated speed, and invites closer investigation of similar phenomena in the airspace over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
