Silver Orb Hovers Over Millbury for 20 Minutes

What Happened On July 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., a Millbury, Massachusetts, resident noticed something unusual overhead. In the witness’s account, they saw a “silver dot”: a small, silvery orb that seemed to dance high in the sky. It appeared about 22° above the horizon and remained in place for roughly 20 minutes, with no discernible movement.

What Was Seen? - Shape: Orb - Color: Silver - Altitude: Very high, though no precise measurement was made. - Movement: The initial report mentioned another orb moving quickly, but it later appeared that the main orb remained stationary throughout the sighting.

Possible Explanations The report suggests the object may have been a balloon, a plausible possibility, especially since balloons coated in reflective material can look silver. However, the witness saw no movement typical of a balloon, and its bright color and stability for 15 minutes raise further questions.

Why Is This Interesting? The report falls into the “orb” category, a term often used for sightings of unidentified lights or objects. The lack of significant movement, distinctive color, and low viewing angle make this an unresolved sighting. A balloon seems like a reasonable explanation, but it does not fully account for the object’s behavior, leaving the incident open to debate.

Summary This is an unverified eyewitness report of a silver orb high in the sky that remained stationary for about 20 minutes. Without additional evidence, such as photos, videos, or other eyewitness accounts, it is difficult to determine exactly what the object was. The incident remains part of the collection of mysterious reports logged by NUFORC.
