Three Green Orbs Spotted Over Maple Ridge at Night

What Happened At 1:30 a.m. on July 4, 2026, a local resident reported an unusual sighting of three “orbs”—glowing green balls—over Maple Ridge, British Columbia. The eyewitness said the orbs looked about the size of stars but moved at an estimated 300 km/h, changing speed frequently and making abrupt movements, including sharp turns. They crossed the sky from north to south. The sighting was directly overhead, at a 90-degree angle.

Why Is This Sighting Interesting? The report describes several features that do not fit conventional aircraft, drones, or satellites: - A bright green color that flashed regardless of distance. - Sudden changes in speed and the ability to make sharp turns, neither of which is typical of ordinary aircraft. - Three objects appearing at once, making a single natural phenomenon a less likely explanation.

Local Context Around the same time, photographs taken by the eyewitness showed the Northern Lights in the area. But according to notes from the NUFORC team, the aurora was unrelated to the reported orbs: they appeared to be separate, independent objects, not part of the auroral display.

What Do the Experts Say? The report is classified as an “unverified eyewitness” account. There are no additional witnesses, and no audio or video recordings to corroborate the sighting. Still, the precise description of the objects’ speed, direction, and movements suggests a serious report, though further investigation is needed.

Conclusion The incident highlights the importance of keeping precise records—including the time, location, direction, and speed—when reporting unexplained nighttime phenomena. Additional accounts from the area or visual recordings could help determine whether the objects were a natural phenomenon, a technological one, or something else.
