What Happened
Before dawn on July 11, 2026, a resident of Jardim das Bandeiras in São Paulo, Brazil, saw something unusual from a bedroom window. At first, he thought it was an airplane. But the light brightening the sky was warm and dazzling, and moved unusually slowly, making that explanation seem unlikely.
From a hillside overlooking the valley, the observer watched the light hover above residential buildings and a local park, just a few hundred meters away. It had a dark, almost brown hue, described as “lamb’s ash,” and lit up the area far more brightly than city lights or the commercial aircraft that pass overhead.
The object appeared about 15° above the horizon, moving from north toward north-northeast. It seemed to approach and then move away, while remaining about 500 meters from the observer. During the two-minute sighting, the light changed tone. In a video recorded at the same time, it shifted through different shades, though its color appeared constant to the naked eye. It made no sound. The observer says he knows the commercial flight paths in the area, and the light’s movement did not match that of any ordinary aircraft.
At one point, as the observer pointed his camera directly at the light, he felt a brief wave of euphoria and slight dizziness. The sensation passed almost immediately. The light then made a counterclockwise maneuver and disappeared behind a nearby house, while a beam of light appeared to spread over the roof. A few moments later, more beams seemed to split upward into the sky, forming about three rising lines, though their source remained hidden.
After sunrise, the observer returned to the location and photographed the scene to document the buildings and antennas in the background, but found no physical evidence of the light’s presence. The video and report remain unconfirmed, and the incident is listed with NUFORC under case number 199349.
Why It’s Interesting
Several details set this report apart from typical sightings of aircraft or planets: the light’s slow movement, its changing color, the counterclockwise maneuver, and the observer’s physical reactions, including euphoria and slight dizziness. The beams seen after the object disappeared add another unexplained element. Although there is no external corroboration, the incident may interest researchers and enthusiasts of unidentified phenomena, particularly given its setting in a densely populated urban area with heavy air traffic.
