Round White Light Vanishes Over Fort Collins in Mysterious Morning Sighting

What Happened On July 10, 2026, at 5:10 a.m., a local observer was watching the sunrise when a round white light suddenly appeared in the middle of the sky. It looked roughly the size of a plane, though it was round and smaller. The witness said the light appeared at an elevation angle of about 60 degrees and moved in a straight line toward the northwest (324°).

The object shone brightly. The observer described it as a “circle of light” that resembled a star but appeared to be moving. After only a few seconds—less than a second—the light jumped higher, then disappeared completely from view. The observer said it was not an ordinary plane, star, or satellite. Its brightness and the speed with which it vanished left the witness feeling both excited and anxious.

Conditions The sky was completely clear, with no significant clouds, and the sunrise was unobstructed. The clear skies allowed the observer to make out details, including the light’s white color and round shape. There were no other reports from the area at the time, making this a single-eyewitness sighting.

Why Is the Sighting Interesting? The light’s characteristics—its round shape, plane-like size, sudden, rapid movement, and lack of any signs of known aircraft—make the sighting a focus of interest for the unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) research community. The event also took place at sunrise, when lighting conditions can affect how we perceive objects in the darkness, adding complexity to the analysis.

Conclusion This is an unverified eyewitness report. Caution is warranted in interpreting the account until more information or additional reports from the area become available.
