Color-Shifting Orb Over a Lake in Forest Inn: Unverified Eyewitness Report

What Happened At 12:35 a.m. local time on June 14, 2026, a local resident reported seeing an “orb” lighting up the sky above a lake in Forest Inn Park, Pennsylvania. The witness described it as white with a rainbow sheen, its colors changing continuously. It appeared as large as an aircraft in the distance, making it hard to mistake for a plane.

Observation Details - Viewing angle – 45° above the horizon, looking east over the lake. - Path – The witness said the orb moved northeast, back toward east-northeast, then southwest, repeating circular movements around the area. - Speed – Not precisely estimated, but it appeared slow and irregular. - Other effects – Nearby animals seemed affected; several dogs appeared frightened by the orb.

What Makes the Report Stand Out The orb did not appear in any satellite-tracking app or in online sources covering satellite sightings. It also displayed what the witness called a “disco effect”: rapid, unpredictable color changes. It appeared and disappeared in different spots, but always within the same area. This behavior does not fit the description of an ordinary aircraft or balloon, raising questions about its origin.

Broader Context Color-changing orb sightings are not new in NUFORC’s report database, but most are considered uncommon. Some reports describe sightings of old satellites, weather balloons, or rare atmospheric phenomena. The lack of a match in satellite-tracking software suggests the orb was not part of a known modern satellite system.

Summary The report describes an unexplained phenomenon with striking visual features and unpredictable movements. Although a possible link to a satellite or another known source remains unclear, the witness recounts a remarkable experience that drew local attention. So far, there is no conclusive evidence confirming the object’s origin, and the event remains an unverified eyewitness report.
