Nothing lives at Aldebaran in a body. What's there is a refocusing station, a stop where souls sharpen their focus, like a camera between shots.

Chapter 2

Around the corner

Its energy reaches Earth around a corner, like a pool ball bouncing off the cushion. That twist keeps a life from pointing straight back to its roots.

Chapter 3

A mirror you can aim

A soul's energy can bounce off Aldebaran like light off a mirror, then go wherever that soul wants to focus. From there it lives many lives, in many places.

Chapter 4

Where many lives meet

For souls that pass this way, many lives gather back at Aldebaran, like streams running into one lake. Then it sends them through another gate, in a whole new direction.

Chapter 5

A friend who keeps lives apart

Some souls have a friend there too, a guide who keeps their lives on many worlds separate and clear. Like a librarian keeping each book on its own shelf.

The department of archetypes

It's nicknamed "the department of archetypes". Archetypes are the big patterns behind stories, like the hero, the mother or the wise elder.
