The story
Staring at nothing
Chapter 1
Staring at nothing
Your cat sits peacefully, then suddenly stares at an empty corner. Why? "There is something there, but not in your reality." Cats see in more than one dimension at once.
Chapter 2
One paw in each world
On the rock-to-light scale, we're at level 3. A cat lives at 3 and 4 equally. It knows the spirit side as well as ours, and knows it.
Chapter 3
Your cat, somewhere else
On other levels, a cat isn't always a cat. Sometimes it's a slippery little blur, darting between realities too fast to focus on. Cameras sometimes catch these "rods".
Chapter 4
A little bit alien
Is your cat an alien? "A little bit alien," yes, since it's another species. "But they are terrestrial aliens." Born on Earth. No cat people sent their DNA here.
Chapter 5
The secret of the purr
Why do cats purr? Because they're a link and a bridge to the Essassani, a gentle star people. And the Essassani have a little secret of their own.
“It's something we've never told you about ourselves. We purr.”
Ancient Egypt
No dolphins in the desert
Dolphins are go-betweens with higher worlds. Ancient Egypt had none. They find sand hard to swim in. But Egypt had cats, and cats do the same job.
“See into the unknown with the eyes of the cat.”

Where they live
Earth
Distance unknown
A giant crystal sitting on a cosmic whirlpool. Some call it the "planet of classes", a kind of school.
